| Tasting notes | Pym-Rae 2020 is a powerful, mountain-grown Napa Cabernet blend with depth, density and serious structure. The nose opens with blackcurrant, blackberry, redcurrant and dark cherry, layered with graphite, black olive, dried herbs, tobacco, truffle, cedar, lavender and savoury spice. On the palate, the wine is concentrated and brooding, showing the intensity of Mount Veeder with dark fruit, mineral drive and firm, finely built tannins. Despite its power, there is restraint and precision, with savoury notes of cocoa, cigar box, underbrush and spice adding complexity through a long, persistent finish. A serious cellar wine from the Tesseron family, Pym-Rae 2020 combines Napa Valley concentration with a Bordeaux-informed sense of structure, balance and longevity Drinking window: 2028–2045 Food pairing: |
