| Tasting notes | The 2021 Dominus is an extraordinary expression of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, combining remarkable concentration, precision and elegance. Deep purple-black in colour, the bouquet unfolds with intense aromas of blackcurrant, cassis, blackberry and ripe plum, layered with violet, cedar, graphite, liquorice and subtle notes of tobacco, incense and forest floor. The palate is powerful yet beautifully composed, delivering concentrated layers of dark cherry, blackberry, black plum and cassis, complemented by dark chocolate, savoury herbs, crushed stone and finely integrated French oak. Exceptionally structured tannins provide depth and definition, while vibrant acidity brings freshness and tension to the wine's generous fruit profile. The finish is extraordinarily long, revealing lingering notes of dark fruit, graphite, cedar and earthy spice. A profound and age-worthy Dominus that captures the intensity of the 2021 vintage with exceptional balance and finesse. |
